• Supreme Court – court appeal, criminal, regional hearings, and practice court from December 1st to 21st, 2023.
• County Court – criminal and civil court hearings from November 1st to December 21, 2023.
• Magistrates' Court – only some hearings from November 1st to December 21st, 2023.
• Children's Court – only 1 hearing of October 2023.
• Coroners Court – hearings from November 1st to December 21st, 2023.

These recordings contain both sensitive and public information. So, the courts will be sending breach notices to those affected by the cyberattack. As soon as the CSV became aware of the attack the audio-visual network was isolated and disabled. Moreover, no other data was impacted because the audio-visual system is independent of other systems. Additionally, there was no impact on court systems thus continuing forward hearings of courts will remain unaffected.

Ransomware Involvement

The issue has already been reported to authorities. The CSV is working with agencies and has partnered with IDCARE to address concerns. The IDCARE is Australia's national identity and cyber support community service. The attack is like the work of the Qilin ransomware group. However, no ransom demands have been made to the CSV and Qilin has not yet accepted the attack’s responsibility. Thus it is likely that the information will be leaked if the demands are not met.
